Packaging

I created the concept, art, and packaging for The Corin Tucker Band's 'Kill My Blues' album. Beyond flattered to work with such rad musicians, I sought to match the band's pacific coast beachy anthems with eighties-retro visuals. The inspiration? Corin handed me a groovy beach towel and said, 'I like The Go-Go's and I want people to dance.’ Let’s go!

Ecstatic Beach

Corin wanted the art to reflect ‘cathartic joy, love, and relief’, so I created a design I named ‘Ecstatic Beach!’ where cool girls go to tear a hole right through the planet.

Kind Words

My favorite description of the album art:

“It looks like The Go-Go’s Vacation as interpreted by Sex Pistols sleeve designer Jamie Reid. Punk Go-Go’s, by the way, is pretty much the record I’d like to hear from the former Sleater-Kinney force of nature.”

Neon Thoughts

Neon Red Pantone made the packaging jump off the shelves. Vinyl copies sold out twice before the record was even officially released!

Dream Client

This project was a total thrill and is absolutely the kind of work I want to keep making. Oh yeah! I also took the photo of the band outside their practice space.
